Aleksandra is a food and agriculture specialist with a focus on food system transitions.
Holding a degree in Sustainable Food Systems from the University for Peace in Costa Rica and working as a freelancer in the social and sustainable food sector, she has both academic and hands-on experience on practices such as regenerative agriculture, local food system management and food waste management.
At SusMetro, Aleksandra is responsible for organizing and facilitating knowledge sharing events with various stakeholders on the topics of Food & Health, integrating food education into the curriculum of high schools in the Netherlands and doing action research on the topics of Food System Networks, Innovation & Education.
In her free time, you can find Aleksandra working in a local community garden, trying new vegan food recipes and hiking in nature.
